This page allows you to change your Internet access password at
any time.
Please note that changing your password in this area affects the
Community Network servers only. You have NOT informed your own computer
of the change. If you are a text user or type in your password each time
you log in, you do not need to worry about your own machine. If you have
your computer set to remember/save your password, be sure to change the
password on your own computer as well!
Important Note: If your EXISTING password contains keyboard symbols other
than the following, you may not be able to change your password here. It
would then be necessary to get in touch with the Helpdesk for assistance.
Permitted characters for new passwords include:
all letters, UPPER CASE and/or lower case
all numerals
the following keyboard symbols:
- (hyphen)
_ (underscore)
@
*
Please DO NOT use any other characters as this will affect your access.
Passwords may not contain any spaces. We suggest at least 6 characters. For good security, do NOT use
any combination of your name, address, telephone number, license plate, childrens' names etc. Try not to
use a dictionary word. The best passwords contain a mix of lower-case letters and UPPER-CASE letters and
numbers.
Remember that passwords are encrypted and therefore unreadable by Community Network staff -
make sure you remember your new password!
