This page allows you to change your password for Internet access and email.
(If you have an address other than @becon.org, change that password from the Options link in webmail.becon.org)
Changing your password here affects BEC's
servers only: it does NOT change any password that you may have saved on your computer or router.
If you type in your password manually each time
you log in, simply start using your new password.
However, if your computer is set up to remember your password, be sure to update the
password on your own computer as well!
Important: If your existing password contains keyboard symbols other
than the following, you may not be able to change your password here. If you have problems, please get in touch with the Helpdesk for assistance.
Permitted password characters include:
all letters, UPPER CASE and/or lower case
all numerals
the following keyboard symbols:
- (hyphen)
_ (underscore)
@
*
DO NOT use spaces or any other characters.
For good security: use at least six characters; do not use
any combination of your name, address, telephone number, license plate, childrens' names etc.; do not
use a dictionary word. Good passwords are easy to remember but very hard to guess; they contain a mix of lower-case letters, UPPER-CASE letters,
numerals, and permitted characters.
Remember that passwords are encrypted and therefore unreadable by BEC staff -
make sure you remember your new password!
