Can I retrieve the same messages on more than one
computer?
Q. I have a computer at work and at home (or I have two computers
at home). When I download mail onto one computer, I can't get the same
messages on the other one. How can I see the same messages on more than
one computer?
A. One way is to use our Webmail feature (see Webmail
instructions ). As long as you don't delete messages viewed in
Webmail, they're left on the server for later downloading in Outlook
Express.
Another way is to set up Outlook Express (or any other similar
email software) accounts on all the computers that you'll be using. (If
you aren't sure how, see the Outlook Express setup instructions for
your version of Windows.)
For each computer onto which you intend to download mail, configure
Outlook Express to leave a copy on the server. Click "Tools",
"Accounts", "Mail" tab, "Properties" button, "Advanced" tab. Place a
checkmark beside "Leave a copy on server". Be sure to set the options
to remove from the server ("Delete after x days" and/or "When
deleted from Deleted Items") as appropriate, to prevent a buildup of
messages on the server and unwanted downloads of old mail later on.
