DSL modems
A DSL modem is a small device that connects to your computer's Ethernet (network)
port with an ethernet cable, and to a telephone jack with a standard phone cable.
The modem package includes the DSL modem, ethernet cable, telephone cable, and one
line filter. Additional filters may be purchased for $5.00 each.
The BEC can configure the DSL modem as a router at no additional charge. Advantages include:
- The router acts as a hardware firewall to protect your computer
- You do not need any additional software
- The router saves your username and password; to connect to the Internet, you
just turn it on.
Warranty information:
The DSL modems sold by BEC have a two-year parts and labour warranty through the
manufacturer. The warranty includes 90 days of free personal phone support from the
manufacturer at any time during the first year, beginning with the first call.
Price:
The modem package costs only $79.00, including taxes, all necessary cables, and one line filter.
Line filters
A line filter is a thumb-sized device that allows you to use the telephone while
connected to the Internet.
